Our Story: From One Mixer to The Mixer Menders
For over 25 years, engineering, manufacturing, automation, and problem solving have been my profession. Precision wasn't learned rebuilding mixers—it was learned long before I ever picked one up.
For more than 25 years, my career has been centered around engineering, manufacturing, automation, and product development. Solving problems, maintaining equipment, and understanding why machines fail has been my profession. As an engineer for one of the country's leading manufacturers and distributors of aftermarket automotive products, precision and troubleshooting became second nature. Then another passion entered the picture—baking.
Like many home bakers, I owned a KitchenAid® stand mixer. When it eventually needed service, I expected to find plenty of repair shops throughout Southern California. Instead, I found very few technicians specializing in these iconic machines. Rather than replacing it, I decided to rebuild it myself. That single repair reminded me why I became an engineer in the first place: understanding how things work and bringing them back to life.
After repairing my own mixer, friends began asking if I could repair theirs. Soon I was purchasing used mixers, rebuilding them from the ground up, and restoring them for new owners. Every completed mixer reinforced something I already believed: Quality machines deserve quality repairs—not replacement. What started as a hobby slowly became something much bigger.
Long before engineering, I graduated from the Spartan School of Aeronautics A&P Program, where precision, preventive maintenance, and attention to detail were part of everyday life. Those same principles apply whether you're maintaining aircraft components or rebuilding a stand mixer expected to serve another generation of bakers. Every repair follows the same philosophy:
As demand continues to grow, one thing became obvious. Southern California simply doesn't have enough experienced technicians dedicated to servicing stand mixers. Either commercial or residential.
That realization led to the creation of The Mixer Menders. Today we specialize in:

Check our website for our remote Pick Up Event schedules. To help more southern californians, The Mixer Menders will host these events periodically. When enough interest is generated, we will travel to N. Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Simi Valley, and Santa Barbra on a Saturday and return all completed mixers on the very next day. So, If you can't get that mixer to Ventura or Oxnard, we can come to you.
